May 28--Just how good are local American Legion baseball teams this season? Based on their record, the four local teams appear to be strong. They were a combined 11-1 entering weekend play. Yet, none of those games was against division opponents, so the results won't count toward playoff seedings. And Denver coach Bruce Bolick -- whose team won five of its first six games -- said he isn't sure how strong his team is either. "We really haven't faced the good pitchers yet," he said. "And we haven't faced teams like Pineville or Cherryville either." Those games are coming before the Area IV region playoffs start in July. But here's how local teams look as they start division play in the 20-team region this week.…
