May 26--With decision time looming, a volunteer panel crafting a short-term construction plan for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools slammed into contradictory issues Thursday. Some members of the School Building Solutions Committee focused on taxpayers, suggesting that CMS trim its $150 million list of urgent priorities, perhaps to $100 million.
