Over 20 percent of companies entirely ban smoking in their offices, a government survey of 5,000 businesses has found.

A recent poll by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare found that 88 percent of polled companies said they were carrying out some anti-tobacco measures, while 21 percent of them totally ban smoking in their offices.
