May 24--TAVARES -- Lake County schools posted uneven results for student performance this year on state achievement exams, according to scores for children in fourth through 10th grades released Tuesday by the state Department of Education.
Middle schools on the whole showed solid improvement. Reading and math achievement in the district increased in every grade by 2 to 6 percentage points, mirroring a statewide trend.
