May 21--PRATTVILLE -- When the delivery truck pulled up to the Prattville city planning department Friday and disgorged three sets of building plans for Bass Pro Shops, it was a record-setting moment.

Each set of plans weighs about 43 pounds and contains more than 200 pages. The plans show in precise detail what the 131,747-square-foot store will look like.

"These are the largest set of plans we have ever had to deal with," said Mayor Jim Byard. He was looking them over on the floor of his office because they wouldn't fit on his more than ample desk. "This is a very exciting time for Prattville. Just look at what this store will …
