May 20--OXFORD -- Two graduate students from the University of Mississippi, along with their partners from the University of Southern Mississippi, outpaced two dozen competing teams as they placed in the top six at the recent FedEx Institute of Technology Business Plan Competition.
The students and their company concepts are part of a unique collaboration between the UM School of Pharmacy and the USM School of Polymers and High Performance Materials. The program, which seeks to train young scientists to develop new drugs and systems to administer them, pairs students and faculty members from both schools into interdisciplinary education and research teams.
