Tax group has its say on Wikipedia
Organisation that represents interests of freelance workers adds its spin on two tax laws to Wikipedia
The Professional Contractors Group (PCG), an organisation for freelance and temporary contract workers in the UK, has joined the authoring ranks of Wikipedia, the open source encyclopaedia.
John Kell, political researcher for the PCG, has written three entries, two on British taxation law, with a decidedly pro-PCG bias.
Kell's entries tackle IR35, a tax system designed to prevent individuals using intermediary companies to avoid paying tax, and an entry on Section 660A of the Tax Bulletin 64.
These policies are key areas of concern for contractors and the PCG lobbies the government on them. Kell's job is to access government information and write advice notes on policy for members of the PCG.
