May 22--Alice Vail Middle School represented Arizona at the Science Olympiad National "Giants of Science" Tournament over the weekend in Bloomington, Ind.

The Vail students were Noah Brown, Andres Camacho, Diliana Delatorre, Han Duerstock, Ryann Hernandez, Alan Hood, Amie Kilgore, Sergio Matias, Emma Mendenhall, Colton Pierson, Mengda Qi, Zakary Skinner, Shantidra Smith, Dylan Soukup, Saradadevi Thanikachalam and Julie Zhang, said Selina Johnson, director of Arizona Science Olympiad Division B.

The Vail students' teacher and head coach is Elsa Schaub, said Johnson, who is senior program coordinator at the University of Arizona Science and Mathematics…
