These days, it has become rather difficult to say anything new about the Traffic Police Department and the way it has mishandled the reforms introduced by former Transport minister John Michuki two years ago.

What was hailed as a revolution in mass transport has become stillborn, and the sanity restored to the matatu industry has been allowed to degenerate to the same levels as before the Michuki rules.
