Text of report by Danish radio website on 19 May; subheading as published:

Danish poultry exports worth 300m kroner [about 52m dollars] are teetering today.

Countries outside the EU are considering whether to stop imports of chicken from Denmark after bird-flu was found in an amateur poultry keeper's flock on Funen. This is the first time the infectious disease has been found in domestic birds in Denmark.

The Danish Poultry Council expects the first international reaction today but does not expect the EU countries to stop imports from Denmark.
