Seoul, 19 May: North Korea is seen to be preparing to fire a missile, which could be a Taepodong ballistic missile, a source in Tokyo familiar with the North Korean situation said [on] Friday [19 May].

Activity has been seen near a missile test site in northeastern North Korea, the source said.

Referring to information obtained from US forces in Japan, the source said [that] Pyongyang may be about to fire a long-range ballistic missile as stepped-up movement by trailers and other vehicles has been detected near the missile …
