THERE was tension in Warri yesterday, when protesting Ijaw and Itsekiri youths locked up the Warri South West local government secreteriat at Ogbe Ijoh for eight hours, between 6.00 am and 4.00 pm, accusing the Local Government Service Commission of precluding them from employment in the area.

Chairman of the local government, Mr. David Tonwe, did not come to the office, yesterday, as a result of the siege but the Secretary to the council, Reverened Sam Kem and the Special Adviser to the Governor on community affairs in the area, Chief Couple Oromoni, pleaded with the youths to give the council …
