An assistant minister wants the traffic police department moved to the Transport and Communications ministry.

Mr Njeru Githae said the police had failed to regulate and manage traffic and told police commissioner Maj-Gen Hussein Ali to move the entire traffic department to the ministry to restore sanity on roads.
