Look to see the venerable Con-way name reemerge in grand fashion now that the corporate title CNF has been retired to the scrap heap of trucking history.

CNF shareholders meeting April 18 approved a management proposal to change the company's name to Con-way Inc., starting a rebranding exercise throughout the $4.2 billion freight and logistics concern. Con-way's shares on the New York Stock Exchange will trade under the ticker symbol CNW.

Con-way initially has budgeted $20 million for the rebranding, which is expected to take 24 to 36 months. The program entails new logos and striping for 35,000 pieces of rolling stock, new signage at 440 service centers, …
