from THE JAKARTA POST -- TUESDAY, MAY 16, 2006 -- PAGE 13 The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank, has lent Rp 1.3 trillion (about US$148 million) to Bank Danamon to help fund the latter's micro-financing business

The seven-year loan facility represents IFC's single biggest loan in Indonesia

"These loans will be mostly oriented by Bank Danamon toward small and medium enterprises (SME) and mass market businesses," Bank Danamon President Sebastian Paredes said Monday at a joint press conference to announce the loan
