May 15--LAKE WORTH -- West Boca parent Randy Mouallem sees the poverty and isolation of South Grade Elementary School. But she also sees the potential for an outstanding PTA.
Mouallem, president of the Water's Edge Elementary School PTA, traveled to Lake Worth last week to help South Grade start a PTA from scratch. She also promised a long-term relationship between Water's Edge and South Grade.
Although it's unlikely South Grade will come close to raising the $180,000 Water's Edge collected this year, Mouallem said it doesn't take lots of money or time to run a chapter that stimulates school enthusiasm.
