Thailand: Sony Corp to assemble all Bravia LCD television models in Thailand.

Section: Corporate News - Sony Corporation of Japan has decided to assemble all of its Bravia LCD television models in Thailand instead of importing them from Japan in response to high local demand ahead of the World Cup, the Bangkok Post reports.
"The tournament will partly drive demand for liquid crystal display products in Thailand this year to jump to between 70,000 and 80,000 sets, from 15,000 to 20,000 last year," said Koichi Suzuki, general manager for Sony consumer products.
