Some guys get wasted at their bachelor party. Some hire a stripper. At Bob Martin's stag, his buddies gave him a musical. It was called "The Drowsy Chaperone," and it was a perfectly wholesome show about a 1920s actress who gets cold feet before her wedding. It was certainly an unusual present--Martin and his friends are actors/writers/ Canadians. But the really weird thing is that, eight years after debuting in a Toronto bar, "Chaperone" is set to open on Broadway.
