Statesman News Service RAIGANJ, May 5: To ensure free and fair polls in North Bengal, the deputy election commissioner, Mr R Balakrishnan, with the states chief electoral officer, Mr Debashish Sen, met officials of almost all districts of the region today. The duo attended a high-level meeting with DEOs, ROs, SDOs and SPs of North Dinajpur and South Dinajpur to deliberate on poll-related work. In the evening, they also held a meeting in Darjeeling. After being apprised of every detail on the election front, Mr Balakrishnan reportedly issued some important directives to be followed by the officials for free and fair polling in the region. …
