May 5--Two students at Jay M. Robinson Middle School in southeast Charlotte are reported to be in police custody this morning, in connection with the discovery of a gun in a student's possession at the school Thursday.
WCNC-TV, the Observer's news partner, is reporting that police have arrested the two students and taken them to a juvenile detention facility. Charlotte-Mecklenburg school officials say a girl en route to Robinson Middle on a school bus Thursday morning showed a handgun to at least one other student. When the bus arrived at school, students contacted the school's resource officer, and he confiscated the handgun.…
