Hachette Filipacchi has closed its women's monthly lifestyle magazine B after concluding a month-long review of the title.
The publisher suspended publication of the magazine on 27 March. The May issue will be its last in the UK.
Attic Futura launched B in 1997. The title was acquired by Hachette in October 2002, when the publisher set up in the UK. The magazine was edited by Nina Ahmed, who replaced Frances Sheen last year. It was relaunched in 2005, but its sales fell 10.1 per cent during the last six months of 2005, from 167,371 copies to 150,536, Audit Bureau of Circulations figures show.
