KAWASAKI, Kanagawa -- A man suspected of fatally throwing an elementary school boy off his apartment block here earlier this month had apparently premeditated the crime as a security camera shows he was wearing gloves, police said.

From around 2004, local residents had reported seeing a suspicious man exposing his private parts to girls near the scene. Prefectural police are investigating a possible link.

The boy, 9-year-old Yuki Yamakawa, fatally plunged from the 15th floor of a housing complex where he lived in the Nakanoshima district of Tama-ku, Kawasaki, at around 12:50 p.m. on March 20, investigators said.
