KUALA LUMPUR: The Parliamentary Caucus on Human Rights and Good Governance has sent Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi a letter to support his commitment to establish the independent commission on police conduct.

At the same time, the group has called on the Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Mohd Bakri Omar, to resign if he is not prepared to accept the authority of the Prime Minister, the Cabinet and Parliament to decide on the policy issue of the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission and other Royal Police Commission recommendations.
