KUALA LUMPUR: Her modus operandi was simple: She posed as a bank officer and convinced her victims that she would be able to secure houses up for auction.

After her victims handed over the money, she made various excuses and fled, leaving her victims high and dry.

In one case, a victim was left at a bus-stop after the con artist claimed she needed a few minutes to park her car.
