Theodore Dalrymple's "Unenlightened" (Feb. 27) sensibly draws attention to the danger extremist Islam poses to Western republics and tolerant Islamic society. Fortunately, his appeal to Enlightenment tolerance is echoed by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, who has publicly rebuked extremist elements and called for intellectual moderation.
