* What should House and Senate Republicans do in the wake of the Jack Abramoff scandal? For the tiny number of lawmakers directly involved in it--well, tell the truth and hope for the best. For the vast majority who aren't--clean things up. Lobbying reform is the order of the day on Capitol Hill, and Republicans should get behind a measure to make the process more transparent, to force more public reporting of just which lobbyist is paid by whom to do what.
