I was very interested in the item in The Week--issue of Dec. 19--on the great church of Dresden, the Frauenkirche, which has finally been rebuilt. The Communists left its remains to remind their subjects of the destruction wrought by the Allies during the Dresden bombing. I was reminded of the time I visited Dresden in 1984 (aptly) and saw at the entrance to the Zwinger Museum, which housed a magnificent art collection, a bronze plaque that read, loosely translated: "In ...
