Statesman News Service SILIGURI, April 28: The whole of North Bengal will witness heavy deployment of paramilitary personnel during the fifth and final phase of the state Assembly election here.

Companies of paramilitary personnel comprising CISF and CRPF personnel will be deployed across six districts of North Bengal to conduct the poll smoothly. In addition to that, a total of 12,437 state police personnel will be in action when the whole region takes part in the election on 8 May.
