Apr. 28--LINCOLNTON -- In three years, these teens have made the West Lincoln High Naval JROTC program what they want it to be. In that time, more than 260 cadets have earned more than 60 trophies and ranked in the top 20 percent in the national academic JROTC test. While Gaston County has several JROTC programs, West Lincoln High is the only school in Lincoln County with a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Lincolnton High School is planning to get an Air Force JROTC program up and running later this year. JROTC is not an extracurricular activity. Lt. Commander Karl Jordan and First Sgt.
