Cheney Under the Gun

If Dick Cheney had answered his country's call to military service with something other than multiple deferments, he might have acquired better firearm-handling skills and judgment along with an honorable discharge ("Cheney's Secret World," Feb. 27). That same service might also have favorably influenced the nation's overseas conduct during the past few years, which increasingly appears to be off target, so to speak.
