GOVERNOR Orji Kalu of Abia State has told the Supreme Court of alleged plot by the Federal Government to paralyse governance in the state.

In a suit filed before the apex court to determine the constitutionality of the powers conferred on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to freeze accounts of persons, individual or corporate, under its investigation, Abia State alleged that the commission (EFCC) was being used by the Federal Government to harass.

The suit was filed by the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr M. C. Kalu, on the instruction of Governor Kalu.

The Federal Government and all the 36 states of the Federation were named as respondents in the suit.
