FILM ENJOYABLY watchable but unlikely to leave any lasting impression, TWO FOR THE MONEY looks into the sordid world of sports betting, its focus being not so much on the gamblers as on those who exploit the addiction that has ruined many a life. The film is held together by another scene-stealing performance from Al Pacino, an actor who loves to orate; here, as Walter, the head of a company which, for a share in the winnings, advises punters on the probable results of football games, Pacino has at least two speeches that define Walter's ego-driven personality.
