Murdered debt collector 'had past links to vice'.

PETALING JAYA: The Singaporean debt collector found dead in a park in USJ 4/7 in Subang Jaya on Wednesday was believed to have had past links with vice activities in Singapore and Malaysia.

According to a police source, Tan Ser Hwee, 39, was formerly a leader of "Gang 18" which operated in both countries. Tan, who was very respected by the gang members, had also provided protection service for nightclubs in Kuala Lumpur. "But he later became rich and decided to stop such activities years ago," said the source.

The source said Tan, who had a Malaysian wife and a son staying in USJ 3, only stayed there for three days …
