German poll shows Social Democrats trailing behind Christian Democrats.

Hamburg: The SPD [Social Democratic Party] has made slight gains in voter support but clearly continues to lag behind the union [CDU/CSU, Christian Democratic Union - Christian Social Union]. In the weekly political poll for the magazine Stern and the TV station RTL, the SPD has gone up one point, to 29 per cent, compared to the previous week. But it's still 10 points behind the union, which gets an unchanged 39 per cent.
