Apr. 13--It will be mid-June, not Christmas, when manager Octavia Turner finally unwraps the Extended Stay America franchise at 2120 S. 48th St. in Tacoma.
"We're just having some renovations done," Turner said Wednesday.
Both interior and exterior improvements are under way at the 109-unit studio-apartment facility near Tacoma Mall.
Although plastic sheeting covers the building from top to bottom, the business remains open, Turner said.
The company has more than 380 locations nationwide. It targets large corporate customers with needs for extended stays.
