Just as Bugatti is increasing Veyron output from 50 to 70 cars annually at its plant in Molsheim, France, word is the Volkswagen-owned marque is already planning an even higher-performance version of the expensive two-seater.
With the first Veyron deliveries just getting started, Automotive News reports Bugatti president Thomas Bscher wants to up production to cut the 14- to 15-month waiting time for the car. At the same time plans are afoot to create an even more limited-production Veyron for 2007 featuring an upgraded version of the 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that will produce 1250 hp, up from 987 hp.
