Apr. 8--Second-grader Imari Menefee is taking the news that she's getting booted out of her elementary school "well, not like super-well," she said.
"But I can get through it."
Some parents at Liberty Elementary on the Far East Side didn't take the news super-well either when a reporter told them that Columbus Public Schools are acting to get overcrowding under control by moving a third of the students out in the next school year.
Superintendent Gene Harris announced this week that she will reassign as many as 160 students from Liberty, at 2949 Whitlow Rd. near Pickerington, to other district schools next fall.
