BADMINTON took centre stage at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) 2005 sport awards ceremony, winning the men's and women's best team award yesterday.
The men's team took the award for winning the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) competition at USM and being fourth in the Indian Ocean Rim Asian University Games in Perth, Australia.
The women's team also grabbed the IMT-GT title and won the silver in the Indian Ocean Rim Asian University Games.
Both teams received RM700 each.
It was also a good day for Joshua Hooi Chee Shing.
