Apr. 6--Peter Gorman impressed a panel of parents Wednesday, with nearly all saying they wanted the Californian to use his communication and business skills as the next superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Eight of the nine parents said their top pick would be Gorman, head of schools in the Orange County city of Tustin. One parent hedged. "I hope that Peter Gorman gets the job.
