New NSSF Boss Plans to Net 5m New Members.

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has launched a campaign aimed to enrol up to five million members countrywide.

Newly appointed managing trustee, Ms Rachel Lumbasyo said that out of the current 2.9 registered members, only 900,000 are active. They remit a total of Sh4 billion annually to the retirement fund.

Ms Lumbasyo said those targeted for enrolment are in the informal sector and would be encouraged to contribute a certain amount depending on their income.
