Beijing, 30 March: Chinese companies have found a nominal amount of natural gas in the East China Sea, an executive of China Petroleum and Chemical Corp said Thursday [30 March]. Drilling under the ocean east of Shanghai has turned up "not a very large amount" of natural gas, company Vice-Chairman Wang Jiming said on the sidelines of an energy efficiency press conference. He said he did not know the exact amount discovered. He did not say in what part of the ocean gas had been found.
