Mar. 30--BRICK -- Selling water to a Howell water utility and measures such as employing geothermal heat have helped minimize increases in water and sewer fees here, according to the Municipal Utilities Authority.
Effective Saturday, authority customers will pay 5.5 percent more overall for water and sewer service. The increase, which is less than authority officials had projected it would be, will equate to an $8.74 increase per quarter for the average customer who uses less than 15,001 gallons of water per quarter.
