Campo Viejo, the Pernod Ricard-owned Spanish wine brand, has named Hooper Galton as its first UK ad agency.
The appointment follows a three-way pitch against Beattie McGuinness Bungay and Smarter Communications, whose Spanish sister agency, Arista Doce, holds the pan-European advertising account for the brand.
Pernod Ricard has briefed Hooper Galton to raise the wine's profile in the UK. Spanish wines account for 10% of the UK market.
Campo Viejo has three wines in its range: Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva.
