BATANG KALI: She died trying to save her sister, just 11 days after the death of their father.

Twelve-year-old Nur Fazilah Fadzir had gone with her sister to visit their father's grave after he died of a heart attack in January last year. It was the first time they were visiting their hometown in Kelantan as their parents were long separated. "We visited Pantai Tujuh near Tumpat. I was swimming in the river when a strong current pulled me into deeper waters," said Nur Fazilah's sister, Rabiatul Adawiyah, 16.
