Mar. 24--HIGH POINT -- Trade-show expertise trumped furniture-industry experience in the International Home Furnishings Market Authority's decision to hire Brian Casey as its second president yesterday.
Casey, 52, and a 26-year veteran of trade-show management, will replace Judy Mendenhall, who is retiring as the authority's president after 4 1/2 years. His first day will be April 18, which is nine days before the official start of the spring International Home Furnishings Market.
