MUAR: The Sessions Court here has ordered an 18-year-old youth, who had sex with an underage girl and had a child out of wedlock, to be sent to the Henry Gurney School in Malacca until he is 21.

Judge Norazlan Ahmad said the offence committed at the back of a house in Lenga, Muar, at 1am on Oct 2004, was tantamount to rape, and punishment should be meted out accordingly.

As provided for under the Children's Act, 200l, the judge ruled that the youth serve three years at the Henry Gurney School.
