One recent night, while racing down the road at way more than 100 mph trying to stop some psychopathic escaped convicts, we decided that trying to knock out these bad guys with a pistol was boring.

So, we jumped over three lanes of traffic and landed on the hood of the renegades' get-away vehicle. This is "Pursuit Force," a cops-and-robbers console game in which we were the cops. In the realm of games, of course, the driver still had just a smidgeon of health left after all that firepower. …
