Punjab and Sind Bank ranks 52nd in the Business Today-KPMG Best Banks 2005 survey with a total score of 1,351 (ranked 59th in 2004). The ranking covers 85 scheduled commercial banks that have made available their annual financial results for the year to 31 Mar 2005. Banks have been ranked on the basis of six key parameters-size and strength, operations, productivity and efficiency, quality of earnings, capital adequacy and asset quality.

Punjab and Sind Bank reported a net loss at Rs71 crore.
