Mar. 11--A group formed last month opposing unified government in Currituck County aired its views Friday before about 30 people at the Currituck County Library. Meanwhile, a group formed in January supporting unified government plans to campaign closer to the May 2 referendum on the issue. If local voters agree, Currituck County would become the first county in the state, and possibly in the nation, to take on powers of both city and county without already having a municipality within its borders.
