Lovers of classical music will have a treat this weekend when the Nairobi Orchestra, takes the stage at the Braeburn Theatre on Gitanga Road with Mozart's Requiem. Performing with them will be the Nairobi Music Society Choir and Garden Opera from the UK

This year marks the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth and the centenary of the birth of Shostakovitch.

Specially invited to choose and conduct the programme is Richard Moss, who has been a long-time guiding light of orchestral playing in Nairobi. He has made a tribute to both composers by selecting examples of their best work and also …
